Shirley Ann Rainsberger (Meegan) passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, with loving family members at her side.
Shirley was born on December 28, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. Shirley loved the piano, was known as Grandma "Tomato" which she loved to garden and enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and nurturing mother to 6 red-headed children who kept her running at all times. She worked in retail merchandising and was the Area Director on Aging in Manhattan, KS.

Shirley Ann Rainsberger (Meegan) passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, with loving family members at her side.
Shirley was born on December 28, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. Shirley loved the piano, was known as Grandma "Tomato" which she loved to garden and enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and nurturing mother to 6 red-headed children who kept her running at all times. She worked in retail merchandising and was the Area Director on Aging in Manhattan, KS.
Shirley was married to Ellis Dwight Rainsberger, Sr at Fort Benning, Georgia. She was a coaches widow, following Ellis as he coached in places Des Moines, Topeka, Carbondale IL. Champaign, Madison WI, Manhattan KS, Winnipeg and Toronto, Canada, Toledo OH, and most recently Colorado Springs.
She is survived by her husband Ellis Rainsberger of Colorado Springs, her sister Francis Walsh (Sean) and six children: Becky, of Akron, OH; Ellis "Bud" Jr (Lisa) Colorado Springs; Cathy of Spring Hill FL; Sandy Gorzen, (Bruce) Winnipeg Canada; Chris of Jacksonville FL; Mike (Vivian), Denver.
Shirley has 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Genevieve Banks, (Brett) and Kevin; Meghan Moore, (Jesse, Tenley, Remy), Kristopher, Katie and Ian. Amanda, (Jessie), and Ron Jr; Kyle and Madison; Paula and Lisa (Trevor); Amber and Jacob.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Elizabeth and Frank Meegan Sr, and her brother; Frank Meegan Jr.
Celebration of her life with a memorial service will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Avenue at 3:00pm this Saturday, November 26th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rainsberger Family Donor Advised Fund. Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetary in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
